About the Phoenix Open
The FBR Open is one of the first PGA golf events of the calendar year. Formerly known as The Phoenix Open, it is also the best attended golf tournament of every calendar year.
The FBR Open is played at the Tournament Players Club of Scottsdale (TPC Scottsdale). The course is a public facility owned by the City of Scottsdale and has two 18-hole par-71 championship courses.
The TPC is located in North Scottsdale, next to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort. If you do not have a parking pass, you can park in an off-premises lot and catch a shuttle to the event. The parking for the event is free and so are the shuttles.
You can more than likely expect it to be a sunny day. The average temperature at the event is 70 degrees. Dress comfortably and be sure to wear shoes you don't mind walking in. Though there are concrete paths, most spectators bring blankets and lawn chairs and stay at a particular hole.
